摘要: The particle swarm optimization (PSO), new to the electromagnetics community, is a robust stochastic evolutionary computation technique based on movement and intelligence of swarms. This paper introduces conceptual overview detailed explanation PSO algorithm, as well how it can be used for electromagnetic optimizations. also presents several results illustrating behavior in algorithm developed by authors at UCLA specifically engineering optimizations (UCLA-PSO). Also discussed recent progress development special considerations needed implementation including suggestions selection parameter values. Additionally, study boundary conditions presented indicating invisible wall outperforms absorbing reflecting techniques. These concepts are then integrated into representative example profiled corrugated horn antenna.
