摘要: Abstract The polychaete species Euclymene oerstedi (Claparede) forms one of the dominant populations muddy fine sand community in maritime basin Ranee (Northern Britanny). Analyses regular samples this indicated that regeneration was an important process within population. Of individuals examined 22% were found to be regenerating anterior and 41% posterior regions body. distribution incision sites demonstrated a distinct preference for body sections extending from both extremities segment 3 or 18 inclusive, with mean recovery times being 1.5 1 month respectively. Biomass production population is estimated as 2 g·m −2 ·yr −1 . From comparison between total amounts regenerated by protected cages those surrounding environment, it suggested essentially linked epibenthic predation, while regrowth region may also result activities infaunal predators. occurrence these phenomena related behaviour E. its tube.
