摘要: The fundoscopic examination of hypertensive patients, which is established hypertension-related target organ damage (TOD), tends to be underutilized in clinical practice. We sought investigate the relationship between retinal alterations and left atrium (LA) volumes by means real-time three-dimensional echocardiography (RT3DE). Our population consisted 88 consecutive essential patients (age 59.2 ± 1.2 years, 35 males). All subjects underwent a fundoscopy were distributed into four groups according Keith-Wagener-Barker (KWB) classification. (KWB grades 0-3: including 26, 20, 16 respectively) did not differ with regard age, gender, or metabolic profile. There no significant differences parameters reflecting LV systolic function diastolic dysfunction (DD) two-dimensional (2DE). Nevertheless, higher KWB category had values LA (LA maximal volume index, minimal preatrial contraction total stroke active p < 0.001) regarding RT3DE. also index (ASVI) duration hypertension (HT) (r: 0.68, 0.001). In logistic regression analysis, ASVI was independent predictors DD arterial (HT). Patients HT found have increased impaired functions. Assessment patient using RT3DE atrial analysis may facilitate early recognition TOD, such crucial determinant cardiovascular mortality morbidity.
