摘要: The first quantitative, time- and space-resolved measurements have been obtained for probability density functions of OH concentration in nonpremixed flames. Measurements using single-pulse, laser-saturated fluorescence laminar, transitional turbulent H 2 -air flames provide unambiguous evidence substantial superequilibrium concentrations, qualitative agreement with predictions laminar combustion models. average degree (¯OH/¯OH AE ) is typically 4–5 near the jet exit approaches unity far downstream. maximum instantaneous measured ∼6×10 16 molecules/cc accord determined by partial equilibrium thermodynamic calculations concentrations premixed
