摘要: Context: Genomic regions without protein-coding potential give rise to millions of protein-noncoding RNA transcripts (noncoding RNA) that participate in virtually all cellular processes. Research over the last 10 yr has accumulated evidence long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) are often altered human urologic cancers. Objective: To review current progress biology and implication lncRNAs associated with prostate, bladder, kidney cancer. Evidence acquisition: The PubMed database was searched for articles English language combinations Medical Subject Headings terms non coding RNA, untranslated cancer, neoplasms, kidney. synthesis: We summarise existing knowledge on systematics, biology, function lncRNAs, particularly these involved kidney, bladder also discuss possible utilisation as novel biomarkers therapeutic targets malignancies portray major challenges future perspectives ongoing lncRNA research. Conclusions: LncRNAs important regulators gene expression interacting pathways cell growth, proliferation, differentiation, survival. Alterations promote tumour formation, progression, metastasis can be used noninvasive markers malignancies. Increased molecular mechanisms by which perform their normal malignant will lead a better understanding could provide treatment Patient summary: In this paper we reviewed detection conclude or hold promise targets, but more research is needed gain biologic function.
