摘要: Abstract Mineral matter in low-temperature ashes, major oxides and trace elements were determined for twenty-eight selected lignite samples their respective 1000°C ashes from various locations Greece using X-ray diffraction, fluorescence spectroscopy INAA. Lignites ashed at lower temperature (150°C) reveal the presence of quartz, feldspars, layer silicates, pyrite, gypsum, bassanite anhydrite all samples. In northwestern (Epirus, Kozani, Florina Ptolemais) calcite, siderite, magnesite, epsomite, hexahydrite, jarosite meta-aluminite coexist with common occurring minerals. Large variation concentration constituents is observed. SiO 2 varies 11.98% to 87.72%, Al O 3 4.53% 23.36%, Fe 3.01% 39.72%, CaO 0.55% 43.05%, MgO 0.18% 9.17% SO 0.02% 32.72%. Smaller variations are exhibited by TiO , Na O, K P 5 . These attributed depositional environment. High concentrations Pb (548 ppm), Zn (2991 Ba (1520 As (1131 1675 Mo (565 712 W (191–420 ppm) Sb (69 reported lignites Serres Drama, northern Greece.
