摘要: Alarming levels of particulate matter pollution in air pose a serious health threat several countries, therefore intriguing strong need for an economic and viable technology filtration. Current purification is rather expensive with certain types even having the risk emitting hazardous by-products. The authors have developed multifunctional filter inspired from nasal hairs possessing ability to specifically trap/exhale foreign particles allergens while still letting flow. This design achieved by introducing different functionalities at dimensional scale employing bottom-up approach starting organic molecule which further self-organized form nanoparticles ultimately nanofibrous mesh. While molecular building block inherently possesses property shielding Ultraviolet (UV) rays, mesh built up it aids trapping maintaining good By controlling concentration molecule, formation fibers has been enabled nanoscale regime obtain high particle-capture possibilities. self-assembled thus designed filtration efficiency ≈90% PM 2.5 particle congruence harmful UV radiations.
