摘要: The closure of the body wall defect at umbilicus was studied in relation to development umbilical hernias a group 44 normal foals, 25 which were followed from birth until five months age, and 19 1 age. At birth, foals had that termed ‘palpable ring’. In 18 them this disappeared within four days, but other ring did not close hernial sac with abdominal contents palpable. This foal considered be only have truly congenital hernia. Twelve developed an hernia between eight weeks prevalence much higher than studies, possibly owing prospective nature study.
