摘要: Hypothermia is a powerful modulator of all life processes, and this has been harnessed over the past 50 years in clinical sciences where tissues or organs for transplantation need to be stored outside body periods time. However human (as an obligate homoeothermic), cooling alone cannot provide sufficient time logistics transplantation, series interventions further control metabolism have developed empirically. In retrospect, it can seen that these approaches mimic some degree ways which cold tolerance natural world evolutionary terms. This chapter reviews history current state art applied hypothermic preservation, compares contrasts what known about tolerance, highlighting areas research development meet challenges organ tissue preservation next few years.
