Synthesis of novel tubulin polymerization inhibitors: benzoylphenylurea (BPU) sulfur analogs

摘要: A novel series of BPU analogues were synthesized and evaluated for antitumor activity. In particular, sulfur 6n 7d shown to possess up 10-fold increased potency, when compared compound 1, against cancer cell lines. was more effective than 1 in causing apoptosis MCF-7 cells. When other drugs with a similar mechanism action, retained significant ability inhibit tubulin assembly, an IC50 2.1 μM.
