摘要: Irregular fruit production across successive years is a major issue that limits the profitability of most temperate and tropical crops. It particularly affected by reciprocal relationships between vegetative reproductive growth. The concept costs reproduction defined in terms losses potential future success caused current investment reproduction. This concept, developed ecology evolutionary biology, could provide methodological framework to analyze irregular bearing crops, especially relation spatial scale at which studies are done. objective this study was investigate direct effects during growing cycle on following indirect through growth these two events, for four mango cultivars cycles. Two scales were considered: unit (GU) scaffold branch. Costs detected events These scale-dependent, generally GU infrequently branch scale, suggesting partial autonomy with respect processes underlying In contrast, positive cases, processes, mainly local, flowering fruiting. negative effect prevailed over subsequent also cultivar-dependent. Those revealed related behavior each cultivar. Our results put forward crucial role occurring events. They discussed context considering both various habits cultivars, order formulate new hypotheses about issue.
