摘要: This work is aimed at practical damage assessment in large composite panels with a view to long-term monitoring of such components. Three sets experiments have been carried out on carbon fibre epoxy assess the possibilities for source location and also characterise AE associated impacts various modes. wave propagation was studied using Hsu-Nielsen one-metre square CFRC plate new approach features Gabor Wavelet Transform developed determine resulting speeds Next, series tests were low speed time frequency identified as function incident energy, size material impacting particle. In particular, it found that difference between two peaks Contour Plot could be used measure impact contact time. Finally, set destructive (tension, tearing bending) while measuring identify breakage, matrix cracking fibre/matrix de-bonding. Using classification scheme based modal analysis studies, proportions modes assessed. The research concludes overall analysis, aided by novel signal processing schemes here an efficient way identifying locating reduces reliance energy methods consequent problems this raises calibration.
