摘要: The concept of mass leaving the Sun was thought possible over 100 years ago from observations prominence material that seen to be moving outward at speeds in excess escape velocity. While direct observation elusive, coupling between solar activity and geomagnetic storms became quite apparent. In 1940's corpuscular radiation sun proposed then 1950's used explain discontinuity a comet tail. Parker s theory 1957 predicted continuous outflow observed by in-situ spacecraft less than 10 later. first optical transient event showing through corona 1971 were accompanied excitement, fascination speculation. Two questions time were: What causes CME eruption? is their significance? These others are still with us. this paper, coronal ejection viewed its historical context.
