摘要: This paper proposes a framework for the comparative study of researchers’ motivations publishing either in English as an additional language or their first language. seeks to present view motivation dynamic, multidimensional, and multilevel. Empirical support is provided through results on-line large-scale survey carried out among Spanish scholars. Our aim was investigate which factors motivate them publish academic journals Spanish, well extent these are shaped by individual characteristics researchers, particularly gender, seniority publication experience. Results show instrumental use fragmented social ideological Spanish.
