摘要: Abstract Single crystals of zinc have been deformed in compression along directions close to 〈1·00〉 and 〈11·0〉. High-voltage electron microscopy has used identify the dislocations crystals. Crystals which deform by kinking, without significant prior plastic deformation, contain b = ⅓〈11·0〉 only, plastically buckle (or kink after strain) ⅓〈11·0〉, ⅓〈11·3〉 [0001]. The factors governing deformation behaviour are discussed terms geometrical softening 〈1120〉 (0001) slip systems.
