摘要: Results from enriched 57Fe isotope tracer experiments have shown that atom exchange can occur between structural Fe in Fe(III) oxides and aqueous Fe(II) with no formation of secondary minerals or change particle size shape. Here we derive a mass balance model to quantify the extent goethite accounts for different pool sizes. We use this reinterpret our previous work influence pH on Fe(II). Consistent interpretation, substantial occurred at 7.5 (≈ 90%) observed little effect nanogoethite (average 81 × 11 nm; ≈ 110 m2/g) microgoethite 590 42 40 m2/g). Despite ≈90% bulk exchanging 7.5, found mineral phase, average size, crystallinity, reactivity after reaction At lower 5.0...
