Natural, biodegradable and flexible egg shell membranes as separators for lithium-ion batteries

摘要: Flexible egg shell membranes (ESM) were obtained from chicken eggs after treatment with hydrochloric acid. The ESMs subjected to scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and thermogravimetric (TG) wettability analyses. morphological studies revealed that the possessed uniform porosity they of micron size. ESM was also found be thermally stable above 230 °C. electrochemical properties, such as ionic conductivity, lithium transport number (Lit+) compatibility membrane upon activation in 1 M LiPF6 EC : DMC (1 : 1 v/v), analyzed. Finally, a 2032-type coin cell composed Li/ESM/LiFePO4 assembled its cycling profile analyzed at different C-rates.
