摘要: Few studies have investigated the risk factors for nosocomial infections developed in neurology intensive care units (ICUs). In this study, ICU-acquired patients with cerebral hemorrhage and infarct who were treated more than 24 h at Ankara Training Research Hospital prospectively evaluated over a study period of 14 months. Of 171 included 71 (41.5%) found to acquired 163 ICU unit throughout 1,867 patient days. The rate infection per 100 admitted was 95.3, 1,000 days, 87.3. most common urinary tract (42.9%), pneumonia (27%) primary bacteremia (19%). Multivariate logistic regression analysis revealed age > or = 70 (P < 0.05), presence central venous catheter (P=0.004), parenteral nutrition (P=0.02) as factors. on admission identified factor decreasing 0.001). high rates may be due lack full compliance control measures. conclusion, each type has its own epidemiological findings thus needs determine using periodical surveillance guide
