摘要: Genomic imprinting refers to parent-specific gene expression, that is, a difference in expression depending on which parent contributed the gene. In usual case, an allele is silent when inherited from one while identical stretch of DNA would be active were it other, but sometimes this effect seen some tissues and not others, or there only quantitative origin (see Horsthemke et al., Chap. 5, vol.).
