摘要: Knowledge of the resource requirements urban predators can improve our understanding their ecology and assist town planners wildlife management agencies in developing approaches that alleviate human-wildlife conflicts. Here we examine food dietary items identified scats dingoes peri-urban areas north-eastern Australia to better understand potential for threaten locally fragmented populations native fauna. Our primary aim was determine what eat, whether or not this differs between regions. We over 40 different dingo scats, almost all which were mammals. Individual species commonly observed included agile wallabies, northern brown bandicoots swamp wallabies. Birds relatively common some but others, as invertebrates. Dingoes a significant threat koalas. Dietary overlap typically very high near-identical regions, indicating ate same types sizes prey areas. Future studies should seek quantify actual perceived impacts of, human attitudes towards, dingoes, develop strategies with greater chance reducing
