摘要: The Mt Lecco glass factory was one of the most important production centres in Liguria (Italy) during 14th and 15th centuries. Archaeological evidence indicates that whole cycle took place here. During glassworking process, defects such as ‘stones’ were identified discarded. Stones are partially melted, glass-coated relics raw materials or fragments crucible. study microtexture stones together with microprobe analyses phases provides a key for understanding glassmaking procedure carried out factory. melting rate can be inferred from compositional variability glass, which suggests fractional batch. Glass composition mixed-alkali one, probably made quartz-bearing material vitrifying agents, plant ashes fluxing agents dolomitic limestones stabilizing agents.
