摘要: A useful and increasingly common additive manufacturing (AM) process is the selective laser melting (SLM) or direct metal sintering (DMLS) process. SLM/DMLS can produce full-density parts from difficult materials, but it tends to suffer severe residual stresses introduced during processing. This limits usefulness applicability of process, particularly in fabrication with delicate overhanging protruding features. The purpose this study was examine current insight progress made toward understanding eliminating problem structures. To accomplish this, a survey literature undertaken, focusing on modeling (general, heat transfer, stress distortion material models), control (input environmental control, hardware-in-the-loop monitoring, parameter optimization post-processing), experiment development (methods for evaluation, optical mechanical imaging design-of-experiments), support structure overhang feature design; approximately 143 published works were examined. major findings that small minority deals explicitly problem, some fundamental work has been done problem. Implications, needs potential future research directions are discussed in-depth light present review.
