摘要: This article develops a framework to examine the ex ante benefits of transgenic research on drought in eight low-income countries, including the benefits producers and consumers from farm income stabilization potential magnitude private sector profits intellectual property rights (IPRs). The employs country-specific agroecological–drought risk zones considers both yield increases variance reductions when estimating producer consumer research. Benefits variance reductions are shown be an important component aggregate benefits, representing 40% total across countries. Further, estimated annual benefits of US$178 million suggest that significant incentives exist for participation tolerance
