Double reverse V-Y-plasty in postburn scar contractures: a new modification of V-Y-plasty

摘要: Abstract Several techniques have been defined to use in surgical treatment of postburn scar contractures. However, distal flap necrosis is frequently seen since most these require random-pattern flaps and there often poor vascular supply tissue. In the Z-plasty, V-Y-plasty their analogues, excess tissue requires excision dog-ear. A new modification V-Y-plasty, called “double reverse V-Y-plasty”, discussed. Nineteen contractures were successfully treated with double V-Y-plasty. The postoperative results represent versatility this technique contractures, especially neck extremities. There was no necrosis. Double effective alternative current every kind one or more contracture lines. It does not need any knack. Advantages: (i) safely useful, when skin tension across line too great local flaps; (ii) superficial scarring localized site, it superior other because rich vascularity mobility; (iii) advised inexperienced surgeon, easy use; (iv) color texture matches are cosmetically acceptable, resultant as much techniques; (v) necessity dog-ear; (vi) can be utilized under anesthesia almost all cases; (vii) a shorter period operation, hospitalization.
