摘要: Despite the fact that both Spectroscopy and Quantum Optics study radiation-matter interaction, these two chapters of Physics present a fundamental difference. In fact, Spec troscopy considers those phenomena which can be fully described in terms interaction between radiation single atoms. On contrary, studies arise just from simultaneous presence many all atoms interact with same electromagnetic field. Under suitable conditions, this situa tion creates strong atom — correlations, turn give rise to cooperative beha viour system as whole. Cooperative means overall behaviour is quite dif ferent superposition effects arising completely unpredictable if one neglects coupling induced by their common elec tromagnetic
