摘要: IN carbon dating of material included in fluviatile deposits, it is usually assumed that either there little age difference between the dateable and fluvial deposit, or 14C sample deposit which contained are sufficiently old for to be consequence. We report here on how a series dates charcoal from bed Macdonald River, New South Wales, Australia, casts doubt these assumptions indicates serious errors can occur relating radiocarbon ages samples deposits they lie.
