Radiopacity Measurement of Restorative Resins Using Film and Three Digital Systems for Comparison with ISO 4049: International Standard.

摘要: This study compared Ultra Speed Occlusal Film (USOF) and 3 digital systems in determining the radiopacity of 5 different restorative resins terms equivalents aluminum thickness. Whether those could be used to determine whether was line with International Organization for Standardization (ISO) recommendations also investigated. Disks each an step wedge were exposed at 65 kVp 10 mA on USOF imaged system. Optical density film measured a transmission densitometer gray values images using Image J software. Graphs showing value/optical thickness constructed. The equivalent then calculated all regression equation. All more radiopaque than 1 mm aluminum, therefore met ISO 4049 resins. Some showed statistically higher imaging. use traditional X-ray films is declining, offer many advantages, including easy, fast, reliable means dental materials.
