摘要: HP1γ, encoded by CBX3, is associated with cancer progression and patient prognosis. However, the prognostic value functions of CBX3/HP1γ in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) remain unclear. Here, we performed a bioinformatics analysis using Oncomine, TCGA Human Protein Atlas databases, Kaplan-Meier plotter, UALCAN web-portal to explore expression significance patients different cancers, including liver cancer. HCC tissues microarrays containing 354 samples were examined immunohistochemical staining, quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction, Western blotting. CBX3-overexpression cell lines tested proliferation assays determine function CBX3/HP1γ. We found that was upregulated many cancers poor Our results also revealed elevated malignant clinicopathological characteristics. Cox regression analyses verified high an independent significant factor for reduced overall survival patients. Moreover, vitro functional showed overexpression promotes proliferation. These findings suggest important oncogene might act as useful biomarker prognosis targeted therapy.
