The magnetic anisotropy of hematite bearing rocks

摘要: The high field torque curves of hematite bearing rocks are not caused by directional differences in the energy magnetization to saturation, but rather couple between ferromagnetic moment and applied field. An expression, derived for curve a single crystal hematite, whose basal plane makes an arbitrary angle with rotation field, is found be excellent agreement experiment. Furthermore it shown that Fourier spectrum should general contain significant higher harmonics therefore method particularly suitable determining preferred crystalline alignment rocks.
