摘要: Shopping has been an emblematic and often decisive social practice for theoretical interpretations of authenticity, lifestyle commodification in both modern postmodern conceptions consumption. The history, politics indeed mythologies consumption have frequently examined through conceptual frames which focus on shopping spaces such as the arcade, mall even airport terminal or cruise liner, shopping-oriented types fl⮥ur shopper zombie. Though studies to a large extent moved away from its disputed affects questions objects networked systems practices, important reality contemporary consumer culture remains fact that is significant leisure activity many people. In part, this because combines search, acquisition purchase with apparent pleasures sociality associated drifting spaces. paper we draw upon quantitative evidence representative sample Australian citizens explore patterns recreational engagement. Our data illustrates characteristics context usual survey variables, well relevant desire, sociality, anxiety, ethics self-identity.
