摘要: Despite advances in the medical treatment of HIV disease, marginalized populations continue to shoulder a disproportionate burden HIV/AIDS-related morbidity and mortality. This study explored process by which clients at HIV-oriented primary care clinics transition from being sporadic users engaging as regular care. A model illustrating how participants were striving maintain normalcy, manage perceptions, develop life mastery skills contributes an understanding living with disease social context. Elements are sensitive nursing interventions aimed improving health outcomes reducing disparities among persons highest risk.
