摘要: Background and Aims Grapevine bunch compactness is an important trait with impact on fruit quality, mainly affecting the susceptibility to rot. Many different variables have been reported a significant influence variation of in particular cultivars, but little known about role such wider framework. The aim this work was identify weight features responsible for natural large diverse grapevine collection. Methods Results Different statistical tests were sequentially applied select determining most influencing compactness. Significant low correlation obtained studied three consecutive seasons, confirming multifactorial nature trait. Multivariate analyses indicated that there are groups Two groups, represented by total number berries per length first ramification bunch, major factors variation, whereas berry dimensions secondary role. Conclusions Bunch defined difference between its morphological (apparent) volume actual (solid) volume. results showed determined berries, also depends spatial arrangement, architecture rachis. Significance Study This multiyear study at multicultivar level, it has allowed selection weighting main These suitable targets underlying genetics
