摘要: Abstract Infiltration patterns of water into four dry clay soils with different macrostructures were determined in the field as a function application rate (i = 4−80 mm/h) and applied quantity (q 2.5−40 mm), using methylene blue tracer. Stains on walls large vertical pores (dominantly planar voids) occurred small bands observed counted to depth 1 m after excavation 0.5 m2 plots. Deep infiltration through pores, demonstrated by occurrence stained bands, could be manipulated varying rates quantities. The number was always very low, occupying at most an estimated 2% available surface area prisms, (for each band) horizontal cross-sectional 60 cm2 or more. deeper, comparable flow regimes, two strongly developed compared moderately prisms. along prism faces where grass roots also concentrated.
