摘要: Abstract This special issue of the Groundwater for Sustainable Development “Contaminant Transport and Fate in Freshwater Systems – Integrating fields geochemistry, geomorphology nanotechnology” provides an update current knowledge on sources, pathways, movement anthropogenic geogenic contaminants environment, holistic interactions between biotic abiotic components ecosystem, avant-garde technologies as innovative strategies environmental management. We aims to provide a future platform interaction collaborative efforts different workers scientific field. As this highlights three keywords: hydro-geochemistry, nanotechnology; therefore, it will facilitate unique amalgamation pure well applied ideas. Therefore, combined effort be much more beneficial lead great developments near future. result better understanding background processes factors controlling contamination process therefore contribute development efficient sustainable management options. also has broader purposes influence policymakers which turn may greater investments research grants covered by said volume, can ultimately quality these fields.
