摘要: In dimethyl sulfoxide, the reaction of hydroxide ion with several electron acceptors—iodine, tetracyanoquinodimethan, Nitro Blue Tetrazolium chloride, 2,3,5-triphenyltetrazolium anthraquinone, and benzophenone—gave products identical to those obtained by these acceptors donors. The pathways were found be composed successive one-electron reactions similar electrochemical reduction acceptors. These results indicate that acts as a reductant in sulfoxide.
