摘要: To evaluate correlations between silt and clay fractions determined by pipette method laser diffraction, samples from Dutch fine marine, fluvial, loess deposits were analysed both methods. For fluvial deposits, for 50 ∝m excellent (R 2 > 0.95), those 2-4, 4-8, 16-32 32-50 satisfactory = 0.80 - while that the fraction 8-16 had an R of only 0.68. marine in same range, but all other except lower. In samples, unsatisfactory. Laser diffraction gave 42% 62% sam- ples if regressions are forced through 0. Sand detected 107% sieve 99% samples. Correlations smaller than reference size generally better individual fractions. Both boundary cause problems comparison. The first because platy shape minerals, second due to a change pipette/sieving procedure, non- sphericity particles. Apparently, clay- silt-size obtained diffrac- tion will be different each type sediment.
