Phase stability of SrFeCo0.5Ox in reducing environments

摘要: The mixed-conducting SrFeCo0.5Ox is a potential material for use in dense ceramic membranes gas separation at elevated temperatures. Its outstanding oxygen transport properties reveal the feasibility of using oxide membrane large-scale separation. stability this under low partial pressure an important issue. To investigate phase and structural stability, samples were annealed various reducing gaseous environments. characterized by room-temperature X-ray powder diffraction scanning electron microscopy analyses. In situ conductivity was measured atmospheres. Reversible transition related to change surrounding atmosphere observed Our results show that mechanical failure made may occur when it cooled moisturized atmosphere, such as hydrogen, then reheated oxidizing air.
