摘要: The Longwoods Complex of Southland, New Zealand is part an extensive terrane consisting intrusives, volcanics, and sediments, which outcrops in the southern north-western portions South Island. This represents a volcanic arc was active from Permian to Jurassic times (Grindley, 1958; Challis, 1968, 1969; Coombs et al., 1976). Between Pahia Point Oraka on coast Island section across well exposed intrusives ranging composition ultrabasic cumulate rock, high-Al gabbro gabbroic diorite quartz granite outcrop. Two models have been considered for origin rocks Point-Oraka section: (a) constitute one suite, members are related by crystal fractionation process; (b) two suites not directly related.
