摘要: PURPOSE : Family physicians play a pivotal role in providing end-of-life care and enabling terminally ill patients to die familiar surroundings. The purpose of this study was explore the family physicians' perceptions their difficulties they have preventing guiding hospital admissions at end life. METHODS Five focus groups were held with (N = 39) Belgium. Discussions transcribed verbatim analyzed using constant comparative approach. RESULTS key roles life identified: as planner, anticipating future scenarios; an initiator decisions acute situations, mostly advisory manner; provider care, which competency attitude is considered important; support, particularly by being available during situations; decision maker, taking overall responsibility.
