摘要: Integration of data from autonomous, distributed and heterogeneous sources poses several technical challenges. This paper overviews the integration system AMOS II based on wrapper-mediator approach. consists of: (i) a mediator database engine that can process execute queries over stored locally in external sources, (ii) object-oriented (OO) multi-database views for reconciliation schema heterogeneities among with various capabilities. The different types is translated integrated using OO mediation primitives, providing user consistent view all sources. Through its facilities many systems interoperate federation. Since most reside to achieve high performance, core main-memory DBMS having storage manager, query optimizer, transactions, client–server interface, disk backup, etc. manager optimized access extensible so new operators be added or implemented some programming language. extensibility essential seamlessaccess variety Copyright © 2001 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
