摘要: Purpose: To perform a multi-institutional analysis of patients with synchronous prostate and rectosigmoid cancers. Materials Methods: A retrospective review Duke University Durham Veterans Affairs Medical Center records was performed for men both adenocarcinomas from 1988 to 2017. Synchronous presentation defined as symptoms, diagnosis, or treatment cancers within 12 months each other. The primary study endpoint overall survival. Univariate multivariable Cox regression performed. Results: Among 31,883 cancer, 330 (1%) also had cancer 54 (16%) these were synchronous. Prostate more commonly the initial diagnosis (59%). Fifteen (28%) underwent prostatectomy radiotherapy before an established cancer. Stage I, II-III, IV present in 26, 57, 17% men, respectively. At median follow-up 43 months, there 18 deaths due two Crude late grade ≥3 toxicities include nine (17%) gastrointestinal six (11%) genitourinary. Two anastomotic leaks following low anterior resection occurred who received neoadjuvant dose 70.6-76.4 Gy. Rectosigmoid stages II-III (HR 4.3, p = 0.02) 16, < 0.01) well stage 31, associated survival on analysis. Conclusions: is greater contributor mortality than Men aged ≥45 localized should undergo colorectal screening prior evaluate
