Structure and photoluminescence properties of Na2Y2B2O7:Ce3+,Tb3+ phosphors for solid-state lighting application

摘要: Abstract Novel phosphors of Na2Y2B2O7:Ce3+ and Na2Y2B2O7:Ce3+,Tb3+ were synthesized by a solid-state process characterized with X-ray diffraction, photoluminescence (PL), PL excitation (PLE), fluorescence decay time. The relationship between the observed Ce3+ emission properties crystal structure Na2Y2B2O7 is built result shows that ions occupy two non-equivalent Y3+ sites in host. codoping Tb3+ can tune emitting colour from blue to green increase luminescence quantum efficiency 75.2% energy transfer Ce3+→Tb3+. processes Ce3+–Ce3+ Ce3+–Tb3+ are analysed determined be electric dipole–dipole dipole–quadrupole, respectively. broad PLE spectra well matched near UV LED chips, which indicates they promising for phosphor-converted white LEDs.
