摘要: Abstract Flame retardants are found in many common products both for domestic use and export. As coastal areas generally characterized by high population density intense socioeconomic activities, it is not surprising that huge amounts of halogenated flame (HFRs) these regions. A well-known example an HFR polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs) which penta- octa-BDE have been added to the Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs) list Stockholm Convention due their persistence, toxicity, bioaccumulation, long-range transport potential. Since worldwide restriction on production PBDEs, market demand compounds expected decline, whereas its alternatives projected increase. Recently, occurrence emerging contaminants environment has attracted great attention. This chapter, therefore, discusses current knowledge contamination PBDE sediment marine mammals describes a preliminary ecological risk assessment chemicals.
