摘要: The contribution of inelastic scattering processes (scattering with a change in wavelength) to the light field ocean can be measured directly by observing apparent decrease absorption (line filling) Fraunhofer lines solar spectrum. An instrument possessing very high spectral resolution has been developed measure line filling upwelling and downwelling irradiances as function depth. Measurements made Monterey Bay show similar that predicted on theoretical grounds when Raman water itself is assumed only process; however, are filled more rapidly depth than predicted. We believe rapid results from solar-induced fluorescence dissolved organic matter. A simple model including both scattering, parameters (quantum efficiency, excitation spectrum, emission spectrum) taken literature, provides closer but not precise agreement observations. Direct measurement likely required achieve complete theory.
