摘要: Auroral arcs often extend for more than a thousand kilometers with little deviation of their relative position within the auroral oval. At high altitudes, outer limits plasmasphere are usually marked by sharp decreases in cold plasma densities. It is suggested that some follow ionospheric trace these boundary shells.
