摘要: Abstract This paper deals with the synthesis, characterization, thermal properties and reliability of 1-tetradecanol 1-octadecanol-succinic acid esters as a novel solid–liquid phase change materials (PCM) for energy storage (TES). Ditetradecyl succinate (DTS) dioctadecyl (DOS) were synthesized by using succinic excessive amount fatty alcohol under vacuum without catalyst. The esterification reaction yield was found above 95%. High purity ester compounds characterized structurally 1 H nuclear magnetic resonance ( HNMR) fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy techniques thermophysical investigated differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) thermogravimetric analyzer (TGA). DSC method exploited determination temperature, enthalpy, total enthalpy specific heat (Cp) DTS DOS. Thermophysical produced similar to alcohols. Phase temperatures enthalpies slightly lower than those pristine alcohols which explained distortion replaced hydrogen bonding interactions. analyses pointed out that TDS heating period between 47 °C 46 °C corresponding cooling 202.4 197.5 Jg-1 respectively. temperature DOS 64 °C 63 °C 194.9 191.7 Jg-1 In addition, cycling test including 1000 accelerated cyclings conducted determine PCMs structural consistency material checked post FT-IR analysis. Morphology endurance limits also POM TGA Based on results, it concluded had considerable potential due their satisfactory properties, stability.
