Adsorption properties of pyridylphenylene dendrimers

摘要: Here we report a sorption and surface properties study of the first three generations polypyridylphenylene dendrimers. A BET analysis N2 adsorption/desorption isotherms at 77 K yielded specific area values not exceeding 100 m2 g−1, while theoretical estimates predicted large pore volumes areas thousands square meters per gram. By means MD simulations, showed this difference to be due close packing dendrimers in bulk. T-plot BJH analyses revealed mesoporous character studied systems, with sizes comparable diameters individual dendrimer molecules. The measured water vapor on 1 3 implied chemisorption process involving formation hydrogen bonds.
