摘要: Abstract Two types of aluminum (Al) alloys, namely 2024-T3 and 7075-T6, were treated by micro-arc oxidation (MAO). Microstructure as-fabricated ceramic coatings was investigated. Furthermore, the effect MAO time on fatigue life coated samples with thin coating systematically explored. Morphologies coating, second phase particles, distribution copper (Cu) Zinc (Zn) in observed scanning electron microscopy, confocal laser energy dispersive spectrometry. Residual stress compositions analyzed X-ray diffraction. More Cu Al alloy promoted formation coating; however, surface porosity high. induced deposited AA2024 compressive nature. In contrast, residual prepared AA7075 tensile due to high content Zn substrate. The results test showed that increased; treatment detrimental performance compared uncoated samples.
