摘要: Fractions from Athabasca bitumen that had been hydrocracked at 430°C and 13.9 MPa were analyzed for total sulfur content organic sulfide (or thioether) content. The sulfides oxidized to sulfoxides then measured semiquantitatively by infrared spectroscopy. Thiophenetype was estimated subtracting the sulfur. After catalytic hydrocracking over Ni-Mo on γ-alumina, in distillate fractions predominantly thiophenic. remaining residue fraction, however, mainly sulfides, proportion of increased with reaction severity. fraction reduced when no catalyst present hydrogen pressure reduced. This behavior consistent a simple kinetic model wherein formed as intermediate species hydrogenation thiophenes. type network, involving series parallel reactions, can give apparent orders overall desulfurization ranging negative values greater than 2, depending extent conversion relative rate constants
