摘要: An earlier statistical survey suggested that the flow-aligned component of upstream interplanetary magnetic field (IMF) may play an important role in controlling lobe-asymmetries Venusian magnetotail. The tail current sheet would be displaced and configuration show asymmetries with respect to sheet. are expected more evident when becomes dominant. Here, carefully selected cases as well a study based on Venus Express observations near tail, we displacement common characteristics However, do not significant dependence IMF. Our results suggest IMF cannot penetrate into magnetotail impact structure.
